Dinorah Nutis MD
Dr. Dinorah J. Nutis was born and raised in the borderland. She attended Medical School at Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez and undertook her residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas, graduating in 2001.
After she finished her residency, she was offered a position as Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and later became Associate Professor, Clinic Director, and Clerkship Director there. During this time, her professional contributions lead to the founding curriculum at the Texas Tech Medical School of El Paso, Texas. She continued to work for the school as a mentor and director of the Internal Medicine Clerkship Department. While in Texas Tech training, Dr. Nutis also served as a Hospitalist for the University Medical Center and prepared residents for their internal medicine specialty.
After 12 diligent years of service to Texas Tech and UMC, she opened her own private practice in 2012. There, she has utilized her various medical and professional talents, passionately caring for her patients ever since.
Dr. Nutis is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Her fields of expertise include preventive medicine, management of chronic disease (including diabetes, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, and liver disease), geriatric medicine, weight loss management (including the use of innovative medicine and endocrinology recommendations), as well as metabolic syndrome management.
Dr. Nutis is fluent in English and Spanish and thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients. She takes pride in helping them live and maintain a healthy lifestyle by educating and guiding them through preventive screening as well as recommending them to specialty facilities when necessary.
